The Neurotitan Gallery

The Neurotitan Gallery is the heart of the cultural Association Schwarzenberg e.V ., who promotes unconventional art by providing a bright and beautiful presentation rooms in one of the most-frequented quarters of the city. The gallery is created as a testing ground for young and / or unknown artists and gives them the opportunity to present their work to the public. She is a node of a multinational network of artists who move between subculture and avant-garde, but are generally outside the officially art world.

The first exhibition took place in early 1996, and on the bright 300 square meters there are 12 exhibitions a year - urban art, comic art, illustration and painting exhibition dominate the picture. Performances, book presentations and small concerts, and collaborations with various festivals are also on the program beside the exhibitions.

The Neurotitan is nowadays linked to individual artists and groups from around the world and is characterized as a constitutive part of the alternative art scene.

The Neurotitan shop

The history of the shop began with a few booklets to accompany the exhibition in 1997. These comics were the first foundation stone to the shop, which since then has grown steadily to its present size and has established itself as a hub for experimental and unusual merchandise.

Away from commercially orientated assortments, the Shop has a large spectrum of electronic music, screen printing, comics and Art- and Urban Art books available. In addition, a selection of publications and merchandise from Berlin and all over the world will be offered: Design books, DVDs, posters, T-shirts and accessories. Small and very small labels and distributors are represented as well as bigger ones. It is lovingly hand crafted postcards, buttons and jewelry and all sorts of neat and fun things. Things you do not need but simply have to have anyway.
