HIROYASU TSURI - TWOONE / INTERVIEW

Hiroyasu Tsuri aka TWOONE was born in 1985 in Yokohama, Japan. At the age of 18 he moved to Melbourne, Australia where he now holds a Distinguished Talent Visa. Hiro lives and works out of a warehouse in Collingwood. Drawing and crafting have been a part of his life for as long as he can remember. He gained an early interest in art though skate board graphic and graffiti culture.

As soon as Hiroyasu moved to Melbourne, He quickly became a prominent part of the local street art scene that was rapidly growing at the time, and in 2004 he received diploma of Visual Art New Media from Swinburne TAFE. Hiroyasu has been evolved into number of group exhibition, and constant commission mural painting. In 2008 Hiroyasu became well noticed from “One Thousand can show” that his first solo show with one thousand of individually hand painted Spray cans. Now he is expending his field to painting, Mural painting, sculpture, and live performances to sound installations.

Tell us a little bit about yourself, where do you come from and where is your journey going to?

I born and grown up in Yokohama, Japan.

I move to melbourne when I was 18.

Now I live and create at my house/Studio ware house.

Your house is on fire, what do you save?

Kelly and our cat Zucca.

What keeps you motivated and inspires you go to on every day?

I really enjoy what I'm doing, so I wake up and think about what I need to do for the day.

and that's get me exited and motivated.

How have you handled the business side of being an artist?

I Just deal with it.


What can we accept from you in 2012, any concrete plans?

THere is solo show at Backwoods gallery.
