Who´s the first artist/photographer that comes to your mind first?

Egon Schiele and Rob Hornstra.

Tell us a little bit about yourself, where do you come from and where is your journey going to?

I have grown up in South Tirol, Italy, and immediately after my college I went away to find my way and new places, after Paris, Bacelona and Rome I am now living in Hamburg. Throughout my journeys I have found photography and it became my kind of way to deal with what I see, live, would like to understand and ask. My horizon is open and there are always new places, ways and lifes to discover and to head for. Live and photography has always some new doors open where to walk through.

How would you describe your style?

I would say my photography is very much based on the humans, a sort of social documentation. I try to come as deep and near as possible. I am interested in the other side of the story, what is left behind what makes them go on. I am interested in the little things of life.

Your house is on fire, what do you save?

My cameras, my negatives , my computer.

Something you want the world to know about you?

I am one  soul more in this world trying to understand of what our life is made of, and how to find peace.

Tell me a song that has haunted you.

Toto la Momposina, Cumbia columbiana.

What keeps you motivated and inspires you go to on every day?

The curiosity.

What did you want to be with 13?

When I was 13 I thought I will never be able to grow up and reach 18. So all I wished was to become older.

How have you handled the business side of being an artist?

I went to Hamburg, because I needed to earn money. So beside my projects I was an assistant for advertising and fashion photographers. Last year I have joined a journalism agency, Zeitenspiegel, where I am working and making little stories and reportages together with writers, for corporate clients and national and international magazines.

What can we accept from you in 2012, any concrete plans?

It seems that I am finishing my documentation on the vanishing Reeperbahn, and if all is going well the book will be published in autumn. Beside this I am working on two new longer projects in Marokko and Colombia.

italian or chinese?

Italian.
